Keeping up in real time and from anywhere should not be a challenge and a frustration. Missing in the Jackson Hole media mix is a local Web site that connects our community.

So we are launching 22Local to be your connection to Jackson Hole.

22Local is an active community platform for Teton County. It’s about engaging the news-makers, bloggers, citizen journalists and neighbors in conversation. Through this participation we can produce the meaningful dialogue pulsing through our community.

Finally, it’s about sharing. The Internet was founded on the principles of sharing and two-way communication. 22Local is built to represent your interests. It’s not about top-down news, someone deciding what you need to know or flashy headlines. Its about all of us participating in the stories affecting our lives right now.

In the months to come, we’ll be rolling out features to complement the conversation that’s taking place. Here you can learn about community events, from movie times to music schedules. We are building a weather dashboard, aggregating valley-wide weather sources; forums, enabling you to engage directly with 22 users; and lastly classifieds, a free place to post your goods for sale, look for a job or a place to live.
